Violent gang posed as police in vile burglary

FOUR men have been jailed following an aggravated robbery at a home in Ash where they claimed to be police officers to gain entry.

The men carried out a “planned and targeted aggravated burglary” making off with the victim's Rolex watch and Range Rover, and leaving them with serious injuries.

At Croydon Crown Court on Tuesday, April 28 Karol Tomaszewski, 33, was sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment, while Patrick McKeown, 42, was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.

Alongside them, Troy Johnson, 36, and Christopher Fuller-Clarke, 49, were sentenced to 36 months and 30 months in jail respectively.

Following the sentencing, investigating officer DC Caceres-Varga said: “This was a planned and targeted aggravated burglary. The offenders forced entry into the property causing significant fear and harm to those inside, including a young child.
