New eco unit enhancing work on the natural environment

Pupils at an Airdrie school are enjoying new outdoor learning facilities thanks to community benefits delivered as part of a council house building programme.

Completed as part of North Lanarkshire Council's housing development at Petersburn Road, a new eco unit is enhancing St Dominic's Primary pupils’ work on the natural environment.

Contractor McTaggart Construction worked with the school, which is located next to the new housing development, supporting its ambition to have an outdoor area for learning.

The multi-purpose space will act as a base for the eco-club and additional room for art and music.
