Council gives the go ahead to plan that will deliver thousands of affordable new homes

Additional projects to deliver more new, affordable homes across North Lanarkshire have been approved and are included in the council's Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP).

The plan aims to deliver around 2,300 new affordable homes over the next five years, regenerating and investing in local communities and town centres, bringing benefits to the local economy including new jobs and improving the lives of residents.

New priorities have been identified across North Lanarkshire and are now being added to previously agreed projects and will help meet local housing need.

These projects will be delivered by the council and registered social landlords, supported by funding from the Scottish Government.
