Five critical posts continue to be run by in-charge IPS officers even after the state govt’s recent transfer/promotion of 35 officers
Five top posts that are very crucial for maintaining law and order in the state and ensuring proper administration of the state police continue to be vacant despite the reshuffle of IPS officers before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The home department had recently transferred and promoted 35 IPS officers in Gujarat but the five critical posts continue to be run by in-charge IPS officers. These posts remain vacant even as six IPS officers of the rank of ASP await their postings.
