Orange alert sounded for many districts

Gujarat is bracing for a fresh spell of heavy monsoon showers this week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing yellow and orange alerts for several districts. On Wednesday, a yellow alert was issued for Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and the Union Territories.

Rainfall activity is set to intensify on September 4, with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in Narmada, Tapi, Chhota Udepur, and Dang, along with isolated extremely heavy spells. These districts remain on orange alert. Yellow alert has been issued for Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu.
