Seeks to reduce litigation and compliance burden in pre-budget memorandum

In its pre-budget memorandum for 2026-27, the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (GCCI) Direct Tax Committee (DTC) has written to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The chamber has requested her to consider their suggestions while framing proposals in the Finance Bill, 2026, for amendments to the Income-tax Act, 2025. The committee has submitted 36 suggestions, highlighting difficulties faced under existing provisions of the Income-tax Act, 2025.
