City has EMI-to-income ratio of 18%, Pune and Kolkata 22% while Mumbai has it at 47%
Ahmedabad is the most affordable realty market in India, according to Knight Frank India's latest proprietary report on 'Affordability Index' that included eight Indian cities -- Mumbai, NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
According to the index, Ahmedabad has a ratio of 18%, followed by Pune and Kolkata at 22%. Mumbai's housing affordability has also improved, with the EMI-to-income ratio declining to 47%.
