Tributes to DJ Carlton, ‘a true entertainer at heart’
Accrington Observer
|June 13, 2025
FAMILY and friends have paid tribute to a passionate DJ and lover of music who has died at the age of 46.
Carlton Callow, who previously lived in Clayton-le-Moors, died suddenly at his home in Blackburn on April 4.
The 46-year-old was a well-known MC who “thrived in the spotlight”.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned last Thursday by Assistant Coroner Richard Taylor at Preston Coroner's Court.
After Carlton's death his friends and family paid tribute to him and said his “favourite spot” had been Wigan Pier where he would “dance the night away”. He was also a talented artist who wowed his family with his drawings.
