Nine land honours from the borough mayor

NINE Hyndburn residents had recognition of their long-term service to the borough bestowed upon them by newly-appointed Mayor Cllr Josh Allen at the council’s Mayor Making ceremony at the end of last month.
The newly-appointed Freemen of Hyndburn honoured were Hilary Austin, Stephen Hutchinson, Rawden Kerr, Zack Kerr and Anne Lincoln.
The newly-appointed Aldermen of the Borough were former councillors Peter Britcliffe, Graham Jones, Abdul Khan and Malcolm Pritchard.
Hilary Austin is the chairperson ofthe Church and Oswaldtwisle Royal British Legion Branch and Accrington and District Royal Airforce Air Cadets.
