Nine-month-old pup was found lying in snow and not moving

- BY JON MACPHERSON

Dog left for dead still looking for new home

A DOG who was left for dead after being abandoned in freezing conditions is still waiting to find her forever home, with hopes that 2026 will finally be her year.

Staffy cross Bonnie was just nine months old when she was taken into RSPCA care in November 2024 after being reportedly left unattended for three days.

When police officers discovered her in the back garden, she was lying in the snow and not moving.

Officers initially feared she was dead.

Bonnie was shivering and severely frightened when she was collected by an RSPCA officer and rushed for veterinary treatment.

She was later placed in a private boarding facility, where she was cared for on behalf of the charity.

In April last year, Bonnie was transferred to the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch's rehoming centre near Accrington.
