STREVENS TO START ALL OVER

The former Eastleigh boss returned to the club where he won promotion to the Football League under John Still at the back end of last season.

It gave him ten games to assess what he needed this summer – and that’s included some off-field tweaks.

Lunch after training has been sorted as well as set places in the changing room. While they’ve spent pre-season at West Ham United academy’s Little Heath training ground, when they return to their regular base, Strevens wants the Daggers’ squad to have their own space.

It means they will change at the stadium before making the short trip to the training pitch rather than be split across different areas

“I’m hoping over the course of the season, when we’re back at where we normally train, it will make a difference to them dayto-day,” Strevens said. “I want it, before and after training, that they’re all in the changing room together. That’s away from us as staff and where the togetherness, team spirit and stuff I don’t want to get involved in all happens.
