PROUD Arthurian League chief Jon Hunter says they’ve experienced the pinnacle of amateur football after representing England in the UEFA Regions Cup.
The league’s rep team lifted the FA Inter League Cup last season and won the honour of pulling on the Three Lions shirt in the unique European tournament in Finland.
Billy Jenkins’ side ultimately missed out narrowly on qualification for the next stage after finishing second in the group behind the hosts.
But they returned unbeaten – with draws against Portugal and Finland before beating Latvia in their final group game – and with a lifetime of memories.

“We’ll never not enter the FA Inter League Cup again because this is the pinnacle of true amateur football,” Hunter told The NLP. “It was wonderful.
