NDLOVU TO THE RESCUE FOR WOOD

LEE Ndlovu rescued a point for injury-hit Boreham Wood at the J Davidson Stadium but Altrincham kept their unbeaten record in tact.

Regan Linney put the Robins in front just after the half-hour, only for Ndlovu to salvage a draw for the visitors, who were forced to pin round pegs in square holes to counter a number of unavailabilities.

“That’s a massive point given the injuries we’ve got,” admitted Wood boss Luke Garrard. “I praised the boys at full-time, but I did tell them, we can’t keep having first half performances like that. They should’ve been two or three up at half time.

“We’ve score all our goals in the second half so far, it’s not right, we want to be leading games early on.

“But we got the goal after the break and tried to push on, but we looked tired. The new normal [of additional stoppage time] is taking its toll on us.”
