HE’S already led his team to a European club record for 25 consecutive wins and clinched the league title in double quick time, but boss Paul Johnson insists all-conquering Farnham Town are determined to finish their best ever season in style.

Johnson’s Clarets achieved another hugely significant milestone last Saturday when they sealed the Combined Counties Premier South title with nine games to spare.

But with their unbeaten record still in tact and a century of points and goals still up for grabs, Johnson insists there is still plenty to play for – including the players’ futures.

“We’ve still got the zero on the losses column and that’s a massive motivation for us,” the Clarets boss told The NLP after Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Jersey Bulls mathematically ensured title success.

“There is a big ambition at the club, and among the players themselves, to finish the season unbeaten and try to get a 100+ goal difference and 100+ points.
