YEOVIL TOWN were presented with the National League South trophy at Huish Park after victory against Truro City on Thursday confirmed them as champions.
They then hosted Dartford at Huish Park, with contrasting emotions from the sides, as Dartford were condemned to relegation. The Glovers came from behind for a 28th win of the season.
Matt Worthington became the first Yeovil Town captain to lift a league title trophy since club legend Terry Skiverton in 2005. He said: “I have been dreaming about it for weeks. It has gone on longer than I wanted it to but I am thankful we got the job done. I am so happy for the lads, they really deserve it.”
Worthington paid tribute to manager Mark Cooper.
