Jude Arthurs put the Ravens in front 11 minutes into the second half before Seb Drozd levelled for the Championship side.
And it was Alexander – who spent 12 years at the Millwall academy before making his one and only first-team appearance against Wigan in 2019 – who had the last laugh after he was brought down in the box with seconds remaining.
A lively start saw Bromley’s Callum Reynolds with a flicked effort blocked, while Lions centre-back Kamarl Grant produced a vital interception to deny Corey Whitely from a good position.
