DOLPHINS ENJOY A BIG HOME COMFORT

THE Dolphins sealed their first home win of the season as last season’s play-off rivals clashed in a hard-fought affair.

Three excellent goals gave Poole their first home win of the campaign in a game that saw a flurry of yellow cards during a gritty second half.

The first half was a fairly even encounter and largely a midfield battle. Bracknell closed Poole down quickly and Poole struggled at times to get out of their own half, but still created more chances.

Early on Rose struck a beautiful shot from the edge of the box which hit the bar, but bounced away from the goal. Poole almost gifted Bracknell the lead when Moore’s back pass found Owusu, but Cairney made an excellent save, but the home side took the lead following a corner midway through the half.
