Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has been at the forefront of the transformation of Chhatisgarh in its fight against Naxals, making it clear that dialogue will be met with dialogue, and violence with decisive action i.e. words for words and bullets for bullets. Under his leadership, the state has made significant strides in combating Naxalism, with substantial successes marking his tenure.

On October 5, news emerged from the Abujhmad jungles that soldiers had killed 31 Naxalites, the largest success against the insurgents in the state, which has battled Naxalite violence for nearly four decades. This victory is a testament to the robust governance of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, whose policies have helped shift the momentum. His administration's firm stance against violence has led to continued successes, with Naxalites being either killed or surrendering under mounting pressure. Vishnu Deo Sai has rightfully earned the title of the 'Iron Man' in this battle against Naxalism.

At a meeting in Delhi on October 7, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah with other Naxal-affected states, the Chief Minister presented the state's success figures.
