Organic farming, digital tools, and dairy incentives, Haryana's agri-mission is more than sowing growing opportunities for every farmer

Haryana's Green Revolution 2.0 EMPOWERING Farmers and Sustaining Futures

In the heartland of India, where fertile soil meets tireless hands, Haryana stands as a beacon of agricultural progress. In recent years, the state has experienced a remarkable transformation in how it supports, nurtures, and empowers its farmers. From adopting natural farming to revolutionising procurement systems and modernising sugar mills, Haryana's agricultural journey is truly inspiring. It makes a story of innovation, resilience, and a forward-looking vision.

Guided by its commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth, the Haryana Government has placed natural farming at the centre of its agricultural reforms. This approach not only reduces dependence on chemical inputs but also rejuvenates the soil and the ecosystem.

Recognising its importance, the state has organised extensive training programmes for government employees and local leaders. In some districts, including Hisar and Jind, over 6,234 village heads (Sarpanches) participated in one-day online training sessions designed to create awareness about the natural farming techniques.

The response from farmers has been enthusiastic. This year, more than 1.84 lakh farmers have so far expressed interest in natural farming, registering over 2.73 lakh acres of land on the state's dedicated portal. Verification has already been completed for 10,550 farmers across 17,087 acres, ensuring that they receive the support needed to make a smooth transition.

The support is not merely theoretical. The government has provided ₹75 lakh to 2,500 farmers for the purchase of essential farming tools such as drums, and an additional ₹1.23 crore to assist 492 farmers in buying indigenous cows. The funds were transferred directly into their bank accounts.
