AMERICA'S GREATEST WORKPLACES FOR WOMEN
Newsweek US
|March 21, 2025
Progress toward gender equity in the workplace continues even as challenges remain.
-
From the lingering wage gap and unconscious biases to underrepresentation in executive roles and workplace harassment, women navigate a professional landscape that demands resilience and advocacy. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, women working full-time year-round are paid 84 percent of what men earn on average. And this percentage has largely stayed the same for more than a decade.
Despite these obstacles, many companies are stepping up to foster environments where women can thrive. To highlight these organizations and their efforts, Newsweek and data research firm Plant-A Insights Group are proud to present America's Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025. This list celebrates 1,000 standout organizations across the U.S. that offer supportive workplace policies with an active commitment to diversity and inclusion. The study involved an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions and interviews with HR professionals and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among women working for U.S.-based companies.
Employers were judged based on their proactive management of a diverse workforce, sustainability and awareness, compensation and benefits, training and career progression, work-life balance, working environment, company image and corporate culture.
Companies celebrated this year include Behavioral Health Works, LEGO, Insurance Office of America, Jack Henry & Associates and WEC Energy Group. We hope this ranking highlights those companies setting new standards for gender equity and serves as a valuable resource for women seeking employers that align with their professional aspirations and values.
