The third edition of the Mahindra Percussion Festival will honour the legacy of late tabla maestro Zakir Hussain

The third edition of the Mahindra Percussion Festival will once again put the drumroll in the spotlight, while paying tribute to the one who did it best. "The goal of the festival is to put percussion centrestage, which is what Zakir Hussain did his entire life.

Zakir bhai expanded the legacy of his father Ustad Alla Rakha and spent a lifetime enthralling audiences. So, naturally, we dedicated this edition of the festival to him," says Jay Shah, vice-president, Cultural Outreach, at Mahindra Group.
