DEBUT IN DEUTSCHLAND

German chariots were all set to shock and awe at Munich's motor show, IAA Mobility. The trailblazer for coming automotive trends featured the biggest annual launches, especially from German legacy brands. This year as Mercedes-Benz went viral on social media with its newly designed iconic grille, Volkswagen’s historic Polo went electric, Porsche went big on speed and power while BMW made a futuristic nod to its design legacy. Here is the Spice roundup.

The iconic front grille redesigned

Mercedes-Benz dropped its popular GLC in an electric version. But the German carmaker changed one detail that got everyone talking. The new electric GLC sees a completely redesigned front grille featuring 942 LED lights within a chrome frame and a smoked-glass effect. You can go one step further by customising a backlit grille too. That said, this electric SUV promises a range of 713km on a single charge, on a 94kWh battery, pumping out a power of 489 bhp. Another design plus is the 39.1 giant Hyperscreen that spans across the front of the cabin making it resolutely futuristic while, to our relief, retaining a lot of hard keys on the sporty steering wheel. While retaining the GLC’s design codes, we do see a cleaner, more minimalistic approach to the silhouette and interiors.
