Frankie Beverly 1946 - 2024

I studied the newly purchased album covers, reading the liner notes. This was my introduction to the new music that would be melodically blended with the familiar. I was intrigued by this unique album cover of Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly. On this day I played outside, and the windows served as my speaker. All genres of music floated and danced out of the speaker-window. I loved all the music, that seamlessly became the backdrop to my formative years. However, Maze, featuring Frankie Beverly, stopped me in my tracks with their unusual sound. I was unsure how to process it. Truthfully, I was not sure that I liked it. Over the years, this matchless sound of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, would become an experience and a staple in the musical soundtrack of my life.
