COUTURE MADE A GREAT COMEBACK IN Paris after two years of online shows. The Fall/Winter 2022 couture gave some of the most extravagant trends for this season. It’s no surprise that the clothes exhibited here are made for the 1% clientele, however, it is thrilling for the rest of the 99% public to watch a spectacle like this. Be it Met Gala or Oscars red carpet, a lot of design inspirations for these shows are taken from haute couture. This year too the event was held in Paris from July 3-7. Top brands like Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga & Fendi were a part of this event. Giambattista Valli celebrated their 10th anniversary as a courtier whereas Balenciaga had a star-studded affair by inviting A-list celebrities to grace the runaway.
Iris van Herpen exhibited her 3D- printed gowns and Chanel drew inspiration from the brand’s past and present designs. As we sit down to observe and dissect the looks here are a few of our favourites from the front row.
