The CAP (The Confederation of Portuguese Farmers) are promoting their wares!

Fourteen Portuguese wine regions were introduced recently by Sommelier Ricardo Dias, also Director of Turismo de Portugal School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portalegre.

Some of the wineries offering their leisure packages are Adega Cooperativa e Regional de Monção, Adega Cooperativa da Vermelha, Casa Relvas, CASA SANTOS LIMA - COMPANHIA DAS VINHAS, S.A. Caves Campelo, FALUA - Wines from Portugal, João Portugal Ramos, Manuel Costa e Filhos, Lda, Quinta das Arcas, Quinta da Raza, Santos & Seixo Wine Export and Viniverde - Promoção e Comércio de Vinhos Verdes.

A taste of the sea and local wine

Visit the Ilha da Armona, near Olhão in Algarve.

In Algarve there’s plenty of seafood - oysters from the Rias Formosa or Alvor opened au naturel, in the company of an Algarve white wine made from the Malvasia Fina or Síria grape varieties from closer to the sea, which also goes well with freshly cooked barnacles or the cataplana made, in Olhão.

Taste the a pink tomato salad with salt and olive oil together with a fine red wine, and end your meal with queijinho de amêndoa (almond and egg yolk delicacy).
