When event planner and creative director Ycoy Sitchon dared to pivot to the arts, it was a leap of faith but one that felt natural

“My journey has been one of evolution rather than a complete departure,” Ycoy Sitchon tells Tatler. Having always been immersed in storytelling and conceptualisation, the event planner and creative director eventually delved into visual arts, grounded by her deep affection for florals.

Enamoured by a more personal and introspective form of storytelling through painting, Sitchon began exhibiting floral-inspired works in 2024 in the collection titled Floral Reverie. The creative thread that binds Sitchon’s pursuits, which includes helming the premier wedding and event planning specialist La Belle Fête, is fuelled by her children.

“Watching them grow inspired me to capture emotions and fleeting moments in my work,” Sitchon says. “Eventually, I decided to semi-retire from my company to focus on painting full-time. It was a leap of faith but one that felt natural.”
