IN THE EARLY 2000S, Amandeep Singh began his professional journey not in finance, but in coding.

Back in 2002, he was immersed in the world of programming. But just a year later, his career took a sharp turn when he joined ABN AMRO Bank in 2003, followed by Centurion Bank in 2004. With this shift, Singh laid the foundation for what would become a highly impactful career in the financial services industry.

Realizing the enormous need for structured, reliable financial solutions—especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs)—he established Gravity Financial and Gravity with a mission to simplify the loan process for entrepreneurs. Over the last two decades, Singh has helped hundreds of businesses not only access funds but also grow sustainably through responsible borrowing practices.

Reflecting on the industry's evolution, Singh explains how dramatically the landscape has changed. “Earlier, only 20-25 banks and NBFCs were involved in unsecured business lending. Today, that number has grown to over 50. In just five years, the market has doubled. This shows the immense demand—and opportunity—in this space.”
