Here at T3, we're firm believers that summer holidays are overrated. Winter holidays not only provide much-needed time out during a period when family get-togethers, last-minute Christmas shopping sprees and the seemingly endless cold, dark nights can bring on a mild case of cabin fever they're a great time to experience destinations which come into their own during winter. And we're not just talking about ski holidays, either - December, January and February are brilliant times for staycations to places such as the Lake District or the Scottish Highlands, which morph into snow-dusted winter wonderlands.
