From the racetrack to television screens to our wrists, TAG Heuer pays tribute to Formula One legend Ayrton Senna with a heartfelt commemorative watch.

Here’s one to add to your watchlist, especially for fans of the late motor racing legend Ayrton Senna. Last November, Netflix released Senna, a six-episode drama about the life of the namesake racing icon. It marks the first fiction series made about the man, who was played by TAG Heuer ambassador, Gabriel Leone.

For those who are unfamiliar, Senna was not just a man who drove very fast in circles. The motor racing legend is regarded as Formula One’s ultimate virtuoso; the personification of determination and discipline, with a dash of poetic athleticism that distinguished so many sporting icons.

“I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence,” Senna once famously said. He lived out this ethos to the fullest until his untimely death in 1994 when, at the San Marino Grand Prix, his Williams FW16 veered off track, colliding with a concrete wall at 233km/h.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Senna’s passing, TAG Heuer, a loyal and ardent partner of the athlete, has unveiled an exclusive new timepiece—the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Senna—in honour of the driver.
