Iconic arenas like the Airport and The Foundry pop with richer textures and longer draw distances, while updated lighting and grime detail make every ramp and rail feel newly discovered—even on base hardware.

Underneath the cosmetic revamp, the core two-minute runs remain gloriously intact. Tricks still chain together with satisfying fluidity, and the emulation of arcade-style physics keeps momentum tipsy and rewarding. Controls feel tighter: manuals recover more predictably, ollies snap with weightier impact, and the revamped combo counter vibrates just enough on DualSense to underscore every high-score moment. Purists will appreciate that Career Mode's timed-goal structure survives, even as free-roam options and adjustable run timers (up to 60 minutes) grant newcomers room to practice without pressure.
