1 NEERAJ CHOPRA JOINS THE 90M CLUB

Neeraj Chopra finally completed his longstanding, elusive dream of breaching the 90-metre barrier, with a monstrous 90.23m throw in his third attempt at the Doha leg of the Diamond League. He became only the third Asian athlete and 25th overall to breach this coveted mark. Though Chopra finished second in Doha, behind Julian Weber's winning throw of 91.06 meters, the weight of his achievement resonates deeply.

Despite already winning all the highest honours in his discipline, the nagging absence of a 90-metre throw always lingered over his presence.
