Louis Vuitton's New Beat
GQ India
|August - September 2024
The luxury maison's latest addition to the Tambour line reiterates its commitment to watchmaking and craftsmanship.

When you think of high watchmaking, Louis Vuitton might not be the first name that springs to mind. But the 170-year-old fashion maison has been on a mission to rise up to the highest echelons of the world of watches. And marking a significant step in this rise is the "Tambour Moon Flying Tourbillon Poinçon de Geneve Sapphire Frank Gehry".
The latest addition to its signature Tambour line, this limited-edition watch is the French luxury house flexing its watchmaking and craftsmanship chops. It succeeds the redesign that the Tambour collection saw last year, following the appointment of Jean Arnault as director of watches at Louis Vuitton in 2021. The appointment was the culmination of a decade-long journey that began with LV's acquisition of La Fabrique du Temps, the manufacture that is the beating heart of the maison's watch business-including the Frank Gehry Tambour.
