With 176 years of jewellery-making experience, Hancocks London is perfectly placed for crafting bespoke pieces that combine tradition with innovation

A reputation for excellence

HANCOCKS London, a name synonymous with luxury, elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, stands as one of the most revered jewellers in the UK. For Hancocks, jewellery isn't merely a product—it’s something that’s deeply personal and a reflection of heritage, culture and an unwavering commitment to quality.

In 1849, Charles Frederick Hancock established his eponymous jewellery business on the corner of Bond Street and Bruton Street in the heart of London. Dealing in the finest jewellery and gemstones, Hancocks quickly built a reputation for excellence. Within a year, the company had been granted a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria and, by 1856, it had been tasked with creating the newly introduced Victoria Cross medal, one of the highest honours in the British Armed Forces. Hancocks London holds the unique distinction of being the only company ever to have made the Victoria Cross. With a rich history that now spans 176 years, the firm is renowned for its unparalleled artistry, precision and commitment to the principles of British craftsmanship.
