VACHERON CONSTANTIN'S TEAM OF LES CABINOTIERS ARTISANS PAY TRIBUTE TO AN ICONIC GENEVA LANDMARK IN THEIR NEWEST TRIUMVIRAL OEUVRES.
AS IT CONTINUES its 270th anniversary celebrations, Vacheron Constantin constantly astounds the world of horology with novelties to mark the occasion. The campaign around this landmark anniversary is called The Quest. It honours the maison’s rich legacy, while looking ahead and defining the avant garde in haute horlogerie.
From the perspective of new releases, it began with the handsome Historiques 222, and continues with a trio of single-piece limited editions called Les Cabinotiers Tribute To The Tour De L’île.
The Tour De L’île (French for The Tower On The Island) is one of Geneva's most recognisable landmarks, sandwiched between prestigious buildings that hold bank branches and luxury watch boutiques. It is on a small isle where Lake Geneva siphons into the River Rhône. To pay tribute to the tower is to pay tribute to Geneva's rich history of political independence and artistry.
At the heart of the Les Cabinotiers Tribute To The Tour De L’île resides the meticulously crafted Calibre 2460, an in-house developed and manufactured self-winding movement.
This horological masterpiece, comprising 182 individual components and 27 jewels, operates at a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring exceptional precision. With a power reserve of approximately 40 hours, this movement exemplifies Vacheron Constantin’s dedication to technical excellence. Its certification with the Hallmark of Geneva underscores the movement's superior quality and craftsmanship and places it within the highest annals of haute horlogerie.
