Hide away unsightly refuse, while attracting pollinators to your garden, with a living roof wheelie bin unit

DIYit WHEELIE BIN STORE

Wheelie bins - we might need them, but we can all agree that they are an eyesore, especially if you have multiple council-issue bins. The best thing you can do is disguise them in a bin store, preventing them from upsetting your otherwise aesthetically pleasing garden. One with a living roof will not only add colour, but will also attract birds, bugs and bees, even in the smallest of urban spaces.

Bins vary in size, so make sure you measure up properly. Stores are available in a variety of sizes, with options for shelves for other recycling vessels. Working on your own DIY project will allow you to personalise your store further, adding trellis or even a gutter and water butt. Building your store on an angle is ideal for drainage, plus will allow you to see plants easily, but if you're DIYing and find it easier, it could be built with a flat roof.
