It’s way more than just (ridiculously fun!) theme parks. Here, some spots to work into your trip once you’ve had your fill of coasters.

What to Do

Gas up the car! Most of these must-sees are in town, but a few are a bit of a drive.

Wekiwa Springs State Park

Before there was Disney, people flocked to the area for this 7,000-acre reserve, which opened in the 1890s. The crystal clear spring is usually a refreshing 72 degrees, so be sure to pack your swimsuit.

imageMaitland Art Center

Founded as an art colony in 1937 by artist and architect André Smith, this National Historic Landmark features several museums—including one devoted to the telephone—and an immersive look at rare Mayan Revival architecture.

The Milk District

Head east of downtown Orlando to this cool ’hood packed with shops, restaurants, murals, and art installations. Fun fact: The area is named after the T.G. Lee Dairy, which started with a single cow in 1925 and is still active today.
