Creating this 4,000 sq ft luxurious apartment perched high on the 72nd floor in Mumbai, was a lively and collaborative journey between the vibrant homeowners and the talented interior designer, Eshita Marwah of, by e & co. The family—comprising Shailender, a businessman; his homemaker wife, Sandhya; and their music producer son, Samarth—wanted a home that mirrored their diverse tastes and dynamic personalities. “We wanted a home with two halves as one, with few shared elements but unique in our own ways,” shares Shailender. A friend of their daughter recommended Eshita, believing her design sensibilities would perfectly align with their vision. This introduction led to a partnership that soon felt like family.

Throughout the project, the homeowners were deeply involved, making quick decisions and providing valuable input at every stage. Eshita designed the home to reflect each family member’s personality in their respective spaces. “The homeowners are vivacious and fun people. Each little nook in this home speaks of their personality,” she notes. Shailender’s carefree nature and zest for life are evident throughout the home, shaping its bold and luxurious style with high contrasts and striking design choices.
