Despite their diverse individual journeys and different personalities the trio share a cheerful sense of camaraderie, Kanhai Gandhi, Neemesh Shah, and Shresht Kashyap are tied together by a strong bond of friendship and mutual trust, which has ultimately become the foundation of their organisation.

The trio met while they were studying at the Academy of Architecture in Mumbai, and after dabbling in various projects individually, set up a practice together in 1997. The different mindset, skillset, and expertise that each partner brought to KNS Architects helped them to strike a balance and enabled them to explore in divergent directions rather than stagnate with one.
