In the bustling lanes of Bengaluru, lies a residential gem Marakadham (Tamil for 'emerald') - a 2,618 sq ft, three-bedroom apartment. For Sivagnanam, a data scientist, and Iswarya, an associate director at a product firm, this is their first home.

"Siva and I have very different personalities," Iswarya shares with a laugh. "But we both love simple traditional homes and antiques. That's where our vision for Marakadham began a space with colour, soul, and a touch of south Indian heritage."

From the intricately carved Sagwan teak door to the curated collection of antiques and personal mementoes, the home tells the story of a couple who values connectionboth to each other and to their roots.
