Picture Perfect

This family home in Blackrock, Co. Dublin needed a functional and stylish kitchen with plenty of storage.

Renovating their property gave these owners the opportunity to create the kitchen they had always wanted.

As this is a busy family home decent storage space and excellent functionality were high up on the list of requirements but they also wanted a room that was well suited to socialising and where they could enjoy spending time together.

After researching a number of kitchen designers they visited the Deanery Furniture showroom and immediately liked what they saw.

Working with designer Mark Deane they had a few ideas of their own but were also open to hearing Mark's suggestions for the space.

Mark explains, The clients wanted a classic contemporary kitchen that was full of practical features as well as being an enjoyable place to sit and socialise.

'They wanted the whole back wall to be floor-to-ceiling cabinetry with a seating area to the other side. A large island was also a must and they liked the idea of a neutral colour scheme that wouldn't date but still felt fresh.'
