Kiran Mistry plays with ideas of contrast and layering to develop an eclectic yet rooted design language for this Mumbai home

Designed by Kiran Mistry of Studio Septray, this 1,050sqft home in Mulund, Mumbai portrays a fiercely eclectic Indian narrative. Traditional motifs coupled with bold juxtapositions of intricate prints and patterns attribute the interiors with a vibrant tonality and arresting vignettes. "We fashioned this home for a couple with distinct personalities and lifestyles. The design aims to harmoniously blend contrasting elements within a cohesive aesthetic that captures their shared life," says Kiran, as she takes us through the design.
