THEIR EARLIEST CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

Rachel: There were 12 of us kids growing up. Thinking back on our Christmases, it's just a warm, wonderful feeling, and it makes me smile to think of it. And when we cook, it brings back the memories of how the house would smell, and there would be the laughter and the sounds of the dishes going on the table.

Dolly: We're from a musical family, of course, so we were always singing Christmas songs when we were cooking and eating. We grew up in a very poor mountain place and we didn't have a lot, but we had each other, and we had the most wonderful food. We'd always have chicken and dumplings, country ham, cornbread dressing and mashed potatoes and green beans—those were our staples.
