Hayley and Craig Morris have transformed their beautiful Arts and Crafts home with a simple scheme that lets the true character of the house shine through
-
With its white walls, timeworn pieces and verdant views, this Grade II-listed Arts and Crafts home near the North Wales coast is instantly relaxing.
When the curtains are removed for the summer and windows flung open, you appreciate the fresh country air combined with the occasional sea breeze. 'We're surrounded by trees, yet the sea is just a few minutes' walk away,' says owner Hayley Morris.
Hayley grew up in this beautiful part of the world, as did her husband Craig, but it was her mother, Ann, who saw the property for sale 12 years ago. 'This house - and 23 others in the village, which is now a conservation area - was designed by architect Herbert Luck North in the early 1900s for his family,' says Ann.
'His granddaughter lived here at one point, while Herbert lived in the main house. They are definitely family homes so I'm delighted Hayley and Craig are raising our grandson Hari here.'
'The house is double-fronted and was designed with partition doors that can separate the reception rooms, with a hallway running between. Denne historien er fra August 2025-utgaven av Country Homes & Interiors.
