The Dutch term 'Niksen' - to do nothing, is an act of simply being rather than constantly doing.
When was the last time you did absolutely nothing? When was the last time you observed what was going around you? Noticing the sounds in the surroundings? Feeling the cool breeze on the skin, the warmth of the sun? Noticed the breath in the nostrils?
From the moment we wake up to go to sleep at bedtime, we find ourselves occupied with phones, writing emails, cooking, eating, watching videos on social media, dinner, and the list goes on; not a single moment passes without finding something to do, watch or read.
