Impetus given to HELICOPTER INDUSTRY of Gujarat by GUJSAIL

As the world is emerging from the pandemic-induced slowdown, the medical, tourism and travel sectors are witnessing a lot of activities and showing immense potential for growth. The helicopter industry can play a key role in realising a large number of possibilities in this regard.

GUJSAIL recognizes that the welldeveloped infrastructure for helicopter services that connects remote areas can provide quick and effective mode of transport especially during natural calamities and medical emergencies. These services can also be utilized to promote Heli-Tourism.

With this vision, GUJSAIL has taken various initiatives in development of Heliports, promoting Heli-Tourism, facilitating MRO for Helicopters and provide support to operators to comprehend various regulations and guidelines by DGCA and AAI.

DEVELOPMENT OF HELIPORT

GUJSAIL is overseeing the growth of heliports, vertiports - the first of its kind project by the Government of Gujarat, and a helicopter corridor at its own airstrip to boost helicopter penetration in the state. GUJSAIL is in process of developing Heliports in Gujarat at Ahmedabad, Gunja (Vadnagar), Dwarka, Somnath, Gir, Saputar, Ambaji and Botad. With a vision to achieve sustainable infrastructure for air mobility through helicopter services, GUJSAIL is coming up with innovative solutions for developing a vertiport at Ahmedabad near Sabarmati River Front.
