The Game Fair guide
The Field
|July 2025
The spectacular Ragley estate is once again preparing to host The Game Fair. Here’s The Field’s essential insight into what to do and what not to miss
WHILE THE magnificent rolling 5,600 acres of the Ragley estate in Warwickshire is familiar territory to Game Fair regulars, the 2025 event promises a host of enhancements and new offerings for those visiting between 25 and 27 July. This annual jamboree of everything we love about the countryside and fieldsports features upgraded camping facilities, even more to see in Gunmakers’ Row, a raft of celebrity faces, thrilling attractions and so much more. What to visit first may be a quandary for some but in our book that's easy: The Field's stand.
The Field
We've been at The Game Fair from the get-go: the very first event in 1958, and have been meeting friends old and new at this glorious countryside festival ever since. You'll find us opposite the VIP enclosure, next door to the Carter Jonas theatre. Just look out for The Field flags. Please pay us a visit and pick up a complimentary copy of our latest issue. There will be a friendly welcome from members of the team, as well as our famous Game Fair Field subscription offer – see page 36.
Gunmakers' Row
The beating heart of this fieldsports fiesta is Gunmakers' Row, which this year is supported by Pulsar and is better than ever. Whether you're in the market for an air rifle, London best gun, cartridge bag, optics or simply perusing, this is a not-to-miss showcase of top sporting brands, with a central area that plays host to several receptions and whisky tastings from Whisky 1901.
Be sure to visit Gunmakers' Court to watch highly skilled gunmakers at work. The area is set up like a workshop where actioning, barrel and stock making takes place. While for those with an interest in the past, Gunmakers' Court also tells the story of the history of gunmaking. This initiative, which is supported by the Gunmakers Trust, will showcase the likes of Westley Richards, Rizzini and IS Sweetman.
