Agoney: “If I didn’t succeed at Benidorm Fest, I wouldn’t release the album”

Nearly eight years in the music industry have given Agoney a wealth of experience. With the tour for his album ‘Dicotomía’, the Canary Island native shares the incredible journey it has been for him.
The end of 2024 marked a milestone with his performance in Madrid and his first concert in Buenos Aires, which drew fans from Greece, Costa Rica, and other countries. Now, with 2025 underway, the singer is embarking on a tour across Spain and Mexico, a project that fills him with excitement. “The preparation for the tour is going really well. I ended the year feeling very happy and doing what I love. My challenge for 2025 was to enjoy what I’m doing, and I’ve already started ahead of schedule.”
Dicotomía’ represents a transition from darkness to redemption. The first songs are darker and convey a message that he wants to go to hell. Little by little, the style evolves, leading to a desire for forgiveness and redemption. "It’s 100% real. That forgiveness is something I ask of myself for clipping my wings, for unintentionally hurting myself many times. I needed to reflect that this was my reality, and that’s okay. Sometimes you think you’re doing the wrong thing, but if you’re in a certain place, perhaps it’s because that’s the path you’re meant to take, and you should be grateful for it. Forgiving yourself is something everyone should do; you’re the only person you owe anything to.” This album stands in contrast to his previous work, ‘Libertad’, which was intimate and vulnerable.
