The most defining aspects of a nine to five are the 'nine', which always arrives a bit too early, and the 'five', which somehow always takes its own sweet time. For Awan, who admits she's chronically running late, the solution is a reliable uniform: a neutral jacket, neutral pants, a fun button-up and heels.

It's polished enough to look intentional and easy enough to pull together at lightning speed. Lyndem takes another route: "I just wear a jumpsuit. You zip it up and you're done." There's one thing everyone agrees on, though.

As O'Shea puts it, "If you're already running late and you've got to pull an ironing board out, it's game over." And on those days when you're subtly (or not-so-subtly) checking the time every few minutes, it helps if the watch you're staring at is a cute one.
