|January - February 2026
As biohacking shapes how we eat, sleep and recover, beauty is learning a new language.
I would lie in a tub filled with salmon sperm, snail slime and bee venom if it meant gaining the ability to shed my early years of harsh face scrubs, pimple popping and unattended sunburns. It’s a mix of vanity and curiosity that takes me from one ingredient and/or treatment to the next—having my own platelets smeared across my face, enduring a mild acid burn from an at-home peeling solution, bungled micro-needling. I want to see what extremes my skin handle and I bear the scars of these escapades along with a smattering of hyperpigmentation, melasma and rosacea.
