Dr. Shweta, what inspired you to specialise in gynaecologic oncology and robotic surgery?

My father was a surgeon and my mother is a gynaecologist. I've always looked up to them— they were my inspiration to pursue surgery. During my residency at MAMC, Delhi, I had the opportunity to work in the gynae cancer unit and learn from incredible mentors. Their guidance inspired me to specialise in gynaecologic oncology.

Dr. Jitender, what drew you towards gastrointestinal cancer treatment and minimally invasive surgery?

My interest in gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery developed during my residency at AIIMS, Delhi. I was drawn to complex and challenging surgical cases, which led me to pursue super-specialisation in surgical oncology.

What were some defining moments early in your careers that shaped the specialists you are today?
